Our two AA Rosette-rated food is fine and flavoursome, the ingredients fresh, locally sourced and lovingly prepared. The elegance of the dining room and subtly of the service are clearly apparent. Adorning the table fresh flowers, pressed linen napery in silver napkin rings, fine china and the heavy Sheffield steel cutlery signify the coming quality. Carefully considered and knowledgeably produced dishes deliver a dining experience of the highest standard. Our wine list offers a spirited journey across the better known wine regions, and, to some regions of supposed lesser repute currently producing some hidden gems. We’ve concentrated on the characterful and intriguing, the often less celebrated but always outstanding. Where we do feature the more familiar names such as Pinot Grigio, Beaujolais or Bordeaux, we ensure they are noteworthy in taste and benchmark in quality. Too many hotels and restaurants today apply a mark-up on wines that borders on cynical and greedy. Our wonderful restaurant is always open to non-resident guests during food service hours.
